Ceballos Man-Of-The-Match In Arsenal Win

The 2019 summer transfer window is regarded by most Arsenal observers to have been the best in years for the club and one of the new arrivals starred in their 2-1 win over Burnley on Saturday.
Dani Ceballos was named in the starting eleven after coming on as a substitute in the 1-0 win at Newcastle last weekend and he put in a man-of-the-match display as the Gunners made it two wins in two games.
Ceballos is on a one-year loan from Real Madrid and he caught the eye with his ability to turn away from players and link up play in a superb individual display at the Emirates Stadium.
He also provided two assists. First he found Alexandre Lacazette who turned brilliantly to fire Arsenal ahead in the first-half and it was also his pass that set up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the winner after Ashley Barnes had equalised for Burnley.
The midfielder described his full debut for the club as ‘one of the most special days’ of his life after the game.
“Well, the truth is that for me it has been one of the most special days of my life,” said Ceballos.
“I think that starting at home by winning and with this passion at the end of the match, I think it will be hard to forget this day for me.”
Arsenal boss Unai Emery believes Ceballos can play in two midfield positions this season
“With him, it’s about using his quality in the best position,” said Emery. “I spoke with him before he came here, it’s to play as an 8 and as a 10.
“Today, he started like a 10 but also changed with (Joe) Willock in the 8 position. It’s where he can feel better on the pitch.”
Arsenal fans have a lot to be excited about this season after the arrivals of Ceballos and also Nicolas Pepe for a club record fee. The Ivory Coast international came off the bench against Burnley and looked a threat with his pace and trickery in the final third.
